Hi friends, I just wanted to share with you all a bit of what I've been up to in the past year! For 5 months I took part in a Catholic leadership development program called the Tepeyac Leadership Initiative (TLI). TLI started as the vision of Bishop Thomas Olmstead in Phoenix, AZ and has expanded to Los Angeles as well as nationally in the US. :)
TLI works to form faithful Catholic leaders to support the mission of the Church in civil society as well as serve the common good. I learned so much in only 5 months and the program encouraged me to continue to share with the world the treasure that is our faith. I was happily surprised to find that by the end of the program I was nominated class president of my cohort and was able to share a brief speech on our graduation night. Click the button below to check out my speech. It's titled, "Christ Bearers in the World". It's pretty simple, it's all about Jesus and Our Lady. :D <3
I chose my Carlo Acutis illustration for the cover image of this post, because he is an example of a modern young person who bore Christ to all he met. His great love of the Eucharist manifested itself outwardly through his life. He is a great inspiration for me and I ask for his intercession regularly.
